Disease Prevention:

Prevention of invasive disease caused by S.pneumoniae serotypes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 6B, 7F, 9V, 14, 18C, 19A, 19F and 23F

Side Effect:

Mild redness and swelling at injection site

Interval:

6 weeks ~ 6 months: Total 4 doses
7 months ~ 11months: Total 3 doses
12months ~23 months: 2 doses
2 years old: 1 dose

Precautions:

  • Characteristics: Contain extra strains of protection over Prevnar and Synflorix.

  • Peak Incidence age: Below 5 and Above 65 years old

  • High Risk Groups: Immunodeficient individual, Functional or anatomic asplenia, Cochlear implants

  • Contraindication: Severe allergic reaction (e.g. anaphylaxis) to any component of Prevnar 13 or any diphtheria toxoid-containing vaccine
